My prayers go out to the family, and especially to Senator Kennedy himself. He has been a treasure to this country and provides leadership and voice for those who often don't get a say in the political system. Despite having had two brothers murdered for their service to the U.S., Senator Kennedy has never backed down from the ideals he holds in his heart, and I salute him for the inspiration he provides us.[Doctors] said tests conducted after the seizure showed a tumor in Kennedy's left parietal lobe. Preliminary results from a biopsy of the brain identified the cause of the seizure as a malignant glioma, they said.
His treatment will be decided after more tests but the usual course includes combinations of radiation and chemotherapy.
Kennedy has been hospitalized in Boston since Saturday, when he was airlifted from Cape Cod after a seizure at his home.
